Founded on Expertise.
ONESONIC Audio Technologies was founded in 2018 by audio and acoustic engineer David Cawley. Our expertise begins in the laboratory, where we have substantial audio testing capabilities which allows us to quantify all aspects of audio performance.
We couple our technical capabilities with a deep understanding of music and the perception of sound, to reach optimal levels of audio performance during product development.
Principal
David is a veteran of the acoustic and audio technology industry, having founded acoustic and audio consultancy Allegro Acoustics and audio brand ONESONIC. A chartered engineer and musician, he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Galway and a Master’s in Applied Acoustics from the University of Surrey.
His skillset is unique — shaped by years in the recording studio as a signed recording artist, combined with two decades of work as an acoustic and audio design engineer. This rare combination of artistic instinct and technical discipline defines the Onesonic approach.
David has completed approximately 500 design projects in the acoustic and audio space, bringing numerous products to the international consumer audio market. Notable brands include:
A Laboratory Built for Precision
The audio testing facility at ONESONIC Audio Technologies is powered by Listen Inc. audio testing hardware and software, coupled primarily with GRAS audio measurement systems. All hardware is calibrated to IEC 61318, enabling Class 1 precision measurement.
Completing repeatable and reproducible test results allows us to directly compare our data with labs across the globe — making efficient R&D possible regardless of where our clients are based.
