Audio R&D

With deep roots in audio testing and decades of experience in audio product development, ONESONIC Audio Technologies can take your audio device from prototype stage, through testing and development, design optimisation and audio performance and enhancement for implementation in the manufactured product.

We can come in as early in the process as the client wants, typically coming in as the form factor has been concluded and the audio design detail is being developed. Driver specification, mic location and equalisation as managed by the DSP are crucial aspects to consider in the context of the audio performance achieved by the device

Audio Testing

ONESONIC Audio Technologies uses state of the art hardware and software to comprehensively test all key performance indicators from frequency response and distortion, to driver functionality and sound stage. From a reproducible and repeatable test base, ONESONIC Audio Technologies develops enhancements to optimise the audio perform of your device and give your brand an edge in the market.
ONESONIC Audio Technologies carries out audio testing to a range of international standards including IEC 61318 in our inhouse audio laboratory.

Devices Tested

We offer comprehensive audio testing and development services for a variety of audio device types, ensuring enhanced sound quality and performance across all platforms.

Our test systems are capable of testing all types of personal audio devices, from speakers to headphones, across wired and wireless connectivity.

We test specific audio performance functions to include Active Noise Cancellation and Mic performance, in addition to more traditional audio performance indicators such as SPL vs. Frequency and Total Harmonic Distortion.

All testing carried out by ONESONIC Audio Technologies is to the relevant international standard, ensuring repeatability and reproducibility, and importantly direct comparison with audio test data from another standardized audio laboratory.

Factory QC

ONESONIC Audio Technologies defines the Pass / Fail audio performance criteria which can be applied during Quality Control and testing at the end of the production line, guaranteeing that the benchmark audio performance is achieved by volume manufactured product.

We have a capability to visit factories in Europe, Asia and the USA on the client’s behalf and test a pre-agreed percentage of randomly chosen product at the end of the production line. This gives the client a strong indication of the audio performance achieved throughout the batch of manufactured product, ensuring consistency in audio performance across product sold into the market.
